To confirm your reservation, we ask that the security deposit and reservation fee are paid by Mastercard or Visa at time of booking. Final payment of remaining balance will be due 45 days prior to your arrival date by personal or certified check only. You will not receive a balance due reminder, so be sure to mark your calendar with the date that is printed on your confirmation.
If you cancel your reservation 90 days prior to arrival, you will receive your deposit back less a $50 cancellation fee. If you cancel your reservation within 90 days, but more than 45 days, your deposit will be held until we are able to rebook the unit for the full term of your reservation. If you cancel within 45 days from your arrival date, all pre-paid amounts will be retained as liquidated damages unless we are successful in rebooking the unit for the full term of the reservation.
It may be necessary to periodically close tennis courts, swimming pools, shuffleboard courts, recreation buildings, etc., for maintenance during your visit. In the event of equipment malfunction, Sanibel Holiday will expedite repairs as quickly as possible. However, no rate rebate can be approved due to circumstances beyond our control. Any damages or repairs needed should be reported to Sanibel Holiday immediately.
The property owner or association has determined the maximum number of occupants, as indicated in your confirmation packet. If you exceed this limit at any time, we will be happy to help you find additional accommodations. Exceeding the maximum occupancy WILL result in immediate eviction and forfeiture of all monies paid.
Your accommodations are confirmed with the understanding that you will adhere to the rules and regulations set by individual condominium or homeowners associations.
Each property is equipped with a courtesy telephone for your convenience. There is no charge for incoming calls or outgoing local calls. Outgoing long-distance calls must be charged to a credit card or calling card, billed to your home number, or collect. A minimum handling fee of $10.00 (or 35% of the long distance charges, whichever is greater), will be imposed for long-distance calls charged to the property phone.
The parking areas of individual properties are for automobiles only. Motor homes or any type of trailers are strictly prohibited. Please ask us prior to traveling for assistance in locating storage for these items.
SUBSTITUTION OF ACCOMMODATIONS
Occasionally, circumstances can arise which may cause confirmed properties to be unavailable; therefore, Sanibel Holiday reserves the right to substitute comparable accommodations. We cannot guarantee the confirmed rate in these instances, although adjusted rates will be subject to our approval.
All Sanibel Holiday properties are considered non-smoking. Smoking is permitted outside only. Some porches may not be suitable for smoking due to ventilation and proximity of rental properties nearby.
Allocation of tennis court times and rules are set by the owner or the association. Not all properties have tennis courts.
Students under age 25 who are unaccompanied by a parent are not permitted and will not be allowed to register. Any reservation obtained under false pretenses will cause a forfeiture of all amounts paid.
Radon Gas is a naturally occurring radioactive gas which, when accumulated in sufficient quantities, over time, may present health risks to people who are exposed to it. Levels of radon exceeding Federal and State guidelines have been found in buildings in Florida. Additional information regarding radon and radon testing may be obtained from your county health unit.
All deposits, prepaid rates, and other prepaid monies may be placed in an interest-bearing account. The guest understands and agrees the interest earned on these funds will accrue to the benefit of Sanibel Holiday.
Sanibel Holiday acts as an agent for the owner of the property and will be paid a fee by said owner.
We welcome your personal checks; however, Sanibel Holiday will deduct from your deposit the applicable bank fees, plus a $20.00 handling charge for any checks returned due to insufficient funds.
UNITS FOR SALE
In the event the property which you are renting is listed for sale, the need to show the property may arise during your stay. We will make every attempt to schedule any showing at a convenient time, so as not to disturb your vacation.
ACTS OF NATURE
Sanibel Holiday cannot be held liable for any acts of nature or occurrences beyond our control. No rate adjustments will be made.
If you are traveling between the months of May and November, please note that this is hurricane season. We strongly encourage you to purchase trip insurance to protect your investments, as owners are not required to rebate rent in the event of a voluntary or mandatory evacuation.
If for any reason it becomes necessary for Sanibel Holiday to initiate litigation to enforce our policies, the guest shall be liable for all costs of such unit, including reasonable attorneys fees.
