We just wanted to recognize Bailey’s General Store’s efforts to combat COVID-19 and protect their customers and island residents.  Even before the City of Sanibel mandated masks in all indoor public places, Bailey’s began enforcing its right to require masks inside their store.  If you don’t have one, they have their own to give you close to the entrance.  With designating one-way lanes, 6-foot markers, plastic shields at the cashiers and customer service, and arranging curbside pick-up, they have led the way for Sanibel’s stores to help keep SanCap Safe!

Recently, NBC-2 interviewed the owners, who credited CDC guidelines for their success.  As of this writing, there have been no cases of COVID-19 connected to the supermarket and hardware store.  Please check out the story here.

For more info on how Sanibel Holiday and the islands are combatting this pandemic, please go to our COVID-19 section in our website, which includes a link to the City of Sanibel’s website.
