Description

Gulf Beach 104 is one of 14 all Gulf front condos located near the East End of Sanibel Island. A very popular location, this first living level (one floor up), centrally-placed unit comfortably accommodates up to six people. There are 3 flat screen TVs, including a 60-inch in the living room, and multiple DVD players including one in the guest room which is internet ready. The owner’s storage locker on the ground floor contains beach equipment which you can easily bring to the beach via the property’s boardwalk and two bicycles, perfect to explore Sanibel’s 25 miles of bike trails. Gulf Beach complex amenities include: covered parking, a community heated pool, elevator and gas grills. This is a smoke-free complex.

*Liked the new office location, very convenient.
*Gulf Beach complex is in a great location, close to the beach, easy to navigate to and from by car or bike.
*The unit itself needs some attention. Master bed mattress is hard on one side and soft on the other. There were only two standard pillows on the king size bed.
*Kitchen cabinets are full of items that probably never get used, making finding what you do need difficult. Needs organizing.
*Living room carpet needs to be cleaned as do the cushions on the furniture.
I haven't stayed in this unit for a few years and was slightly disappointed.

Very pleased overall. Sofa cushions could use replacement. Kitchen had too much stuff & too little organization ( from someone who does not usually pay attention). We worked on that. Twenty-nine coffee cups/mugs taking up space with minimal space for food. Only four dinner forks & one salad fork, so we donated four. Need to leave cleaning solution for glass top stove in the unit. Laundry shelves need repairing (not a big deal). Mold on front load washer that should be cleaned each week. Four brooms but no dustpan. (We donated one.) Really fun spot. Great elevator for suitcases & groceries! Very nice folks at rental company. They were so nice to order perfect weather for us. ����

We love the location of Gulf Beach! 104 was a new place for us to stay in and we were disappointed in some of the amenities. We had good family time but when you don't have a functioning dishwasher and the internet is only at 3.7 mps, that caused some frustration. The dishes in the cabinet were dirty so dishwasher has not been working for quite some time. Dishes were put away dirty. Having a larger hot water tank so more than 2 people can shower with hot water would be nice. We also recommend having a laundry basket in the condo. There were enough beach chairs and an umbrella so that was great. Shouldn't advertise that there are 2 bikes for use as one was not working (Needs an inter-tube??) and the other one we took up to put air in it at the gas station and then it worked. King mattress was a little lumpy. Could use a pizza pan and a larger cookie sheet. Great location and probably will return to Gulf Beach but not to 104.

Spacious apartment with beautiful view to the sea and two minute walking distance to the beach. Had couple issues with the clogged toilet and bathtub, that was resolves within couple hours, but biggest disappointment was washer which interior was covered in black mold. We came to spend time here with our infant and were not able to use the washer. They send two ladies, that tried to clean it, but the mold has already eaten up the silicone seal and was beyond cleaning. They called me couple times to as if the issue was resolved, but even I told them that I don't feel safe using molded washer to wash my infants cloths, they just said 'we home you will still be able to enjoy the stay'... they didn't offer any type of compensation or anything... and we paid a lot of money to stay here... so that was the disappointing part... other wise, very good location, loved the pool and parking, which in underneath the building.

In general, the experience was good. There were a few areas that could have been better. The condo was the same as the previous years, but the carpet in the living room needs to be cleaned. Unfortunately, the guests staying in 105 snored so loud it kept us up at night. I can't imagine how loud it was inside their condo. There was a lot of landscaping noise around the pool. Chain saws were very loud and not relaxing.

We loved the condo and furnishings, however, the washing machine was broken for several days so it severely limited doing laundry. That is one reason that we rented that unit. Otherwise, we love the complex and location.

We have stayed in this complex several times and find it to be quiet and clean. This particular unit was clean and comfortable but the kitchen equipment was abysmal; one partly melted turner, no pot big enough to cook pasta for four, no rubber spatula for example. The pool was clean and beautiful. My main concern was the poison ivy flanking the walkway to the beach with a few sprouts even coming up between the boards. I did call this to the attention of the rental agency and assume it will be dealt with. The beach 'equipment' was hit and miss; a lovely umbrella but no way to anchor it in the sand without digging a huge hole, several nice chairs and some that could barely support our 12 year granddaughter much less an adult. All of these are minor problems [except the poison ivy] and did not fundamentally mar our visit.

We have been coming to Sanibel for a number of years and have stayed at Gulf Beach. This is the first time in November and I would recommend this time of year but also Gulf Beach.

Thank you so much for your 5 star review of your recent stay at Gulf Beach! November, in my opinion, is the best time of year to visit the island. The weather is perfect as it is still warm but without the heat and humidity of summer, the afternoon thunderstorms that we typically experience in the summer are over, the rates are at their lowest point and you have the island essentially to yourself! Something tells me we'll be seeing you next November!

We loved being so close to the beach and being able to park in the shade. It was also nice to not need to rent beach chairs, etc. Only problems we had was that the twin beds were uncomfortable for my teens and the kitchen was so stocked with dishes that there was no place to put our food. The condo is directly across from the elevator. Sanibel Holiday was excellent and the one time we locked ourselves out on a Sunday we had a key within half an hour.

The ground level storage lockers at this property make beach days so easy and comfortable. Everything you need is right there, just a short walk down the boardwalk to butt-in-the-chair, toes-in-the-sand status! We are sorry to hear the teens found the beds less than comfortable. For future stays, please keep in mind we are happy to deliver mattress toppers to help if the beds are not ideal for you or your guests. I will also speak with Housekeeping and Maintenance to see if they can find a way to consolidate the kitchenware to open up more cabinet space for food storage. We hope you have Sanibel in mind for future vacations!
