The Lakeview Home is a 3 bedroom, 2 bath ground-level, lakefront home located in the Murex lakes subdivision off West Gulf Drive. A newly-built entryway leads into the living room and family room that allow plenty of space for entertaining with an new electric fireplace for colder nights, while the large heated pool is perfect for that morning or afternoon swim. The master bedroom has a king size bed while the second bedroom has two extra-long California twin beds while the third bedroom has a twin size day bed perfect for young visitors. Enjoy the sunset from the pool deck or the dock by the lake. You're just a short 2/10th’s of a mile walk or bike ride away from Sanibel's famous shelling beaches too. Location of the house is fantastic. The house is close to the beach, 3-4 min walk. There is a nice pool area behind the house with view to a lake with fascinating wildlife. An outside shower keeps most of the sand from the beach outside the house. Furniture outside and inside seems a little dated. Some of the kitchen supplies, the beach equipment and the bicycles are worn and need an update.

A Month in Paradise...

We had the most amazing time at the Lakeview Property! Our vacation was relaxing, restful and worry-free! The house is fully stocked, well laid-out, and perfectly located with a short walk to the beach.

The house had almost everything, including beach towels, beach chairs, finishing gear (though we did not fish because of the Red Tide), and several bikes! This is very minor, but if you are a baker like me, the house has few baking dishes (9x13) and no rolling pin, so you may want to bring that with you. The house has everything else (blender, mixer, pots, good knives).

Our three children enjoyed the property in different ways -- our 7-year-old took breaks from remote learning *in the pool.* She attended classes in her bathing suit! Our 13-year old also worked on her classes poolside, and our 16-year-old son spent countless hours working on his ball control in the warm sun. My husband and son went on runs daily.

I had to teach the first week we were there, and the WIFI worked perfectly, for those of you who have to do some work while in Sanibel.

The pool was divine! The water was so warm! There's a window pass-through that allowed me to watch the kids while they swam. We brought floaties, which were a huge hit with the girls.

In terms of activities, we were very limited because of COVID. All businesses on the island require masks, fortunately. We avoided eating out, just to be on the safe side, but we did do lots of outdoor activities. We went on a tour of the animal preserve (a must!), we spent time on Captiva Island (parasailing, watching sunsets, riding the banana boat, swimming), went to the Ford/Edison Estates (another must!), went to the Manatee Park (okay), in addition to lots of walks!

This was a magical month -- We are not back in Chicago, and feel like our time in Sanibel will carry us through until our Spring starts in May!

Fabulous two weeks before Covid struck!

We very much enjoyed our month at Lakeview. It is a spectacular location with fantastic view of the lake and a small lakeside dock that we loved. The house was clean and well looked after although a little dated furniture wise. We found Sanibel Holiday to be outstanding always responding very quickly if there was anything that needed attention. The pool area outside is also very special. We have booked again for next year and are very much looking forward to returning.

Have stayed here the past 6 Januarys. Great location, quiet residential, the photo says it all.
Furniture in tv room and guest suite is a bit dated and uncomfortable. All else is 1st class.

A great house, perfect location, lovely view of lake, nice pool, comfortable beds, good layout. Kitchen is great, everything one could possibly need. Plenty of bedding and towels. Enough bikes and beach stuff. TV needs updating (Roku, Apple TV, HiDef TVs). Some furnishings a bit shabby, drapes, bedspreads could be updated. Miss the outdoor shower surround.
