Description

***Please be aware that our island is still going through recovery. Public beach accesses are open and there are approximately 30 restaurants now open, as well as a few shops including Jerry’s Grocery, Chicos, The Lighthouse Clothing Shop and Beach Daisy. ( with more gradually opening) . The Causeway is currently under repair with 20 m.p.h. speed limit and you can expect traffic delays coming on and off the island. Neighboring homes and condos are making repairs so there will be noise, trucks & equipment at your property and throughout the island. There will / could be noise from interior work in adjoining or nearby units. Some amenities in the complex may be temporarily closed. Pickleball & Tennis Courts construction began 12/4/23 with a targeted completion of 3/18/24. Building #5 elevator is available for use. ***The pool is now open featuring warm water.***

Loggerhead Cay is located on the East end of Sanibel Island, 5 minutes from the Causeway. Sanibel has 2 superior golf courses and a growing number of wonderful shops and restaurants on Periwinkle Way. It is a short drive to the Sanibel Athletic Center, library, Ding Darling Wildlife Refuge, Sunday farmers market and many other amenities.

Unit 583 is in building #5. This lovely, well-maintained, open concept, 3rd floor property, can be accessed by stairs or elevator. The unit is a short walk to the beautiful shell-strewn beach and the heated pool. Loggerhead Condominium complex has gas grills in several locations, (one of which is directly in front of building #5) as well as tennis, pickleball and shuffleboard courts.

This comfortable, elegant condo has been completely updated from the studs out!
New In 2024:
New walls, baseboards and crown molding. New pillows and mattresses, new fridge and washer, new master bedroom TV, new dining room table set for 4, new lanai seating area and lanai dining area for 4. There are new mirrors and frames throughout, new shelving in master bedroom, guest bedroom, guest closet and laundry, new living room and master bedroom lamps. There is a new vacuum. New AC. And all the wicker furniture has been refurbished and reupholstered.

As an added convenience, guests have access to 4 beach chairs, a beach umbrella, small cooler, grocery and freezer bags, 2 pickle ball and 2 tennis racquets and some beach toys, which are all in the guest closet beside the laundry. In the TV cabinet drawers there are cards and board games. There is a a small lending library in the dining room hutch along with placemats.

The washer and dryer are conveniently located in the hall closet as you enter the condo. The fully equipped kitchen has also been refreshed with a cheerful new back splash. Finally, there are hurricane glass windows throughout and hurricane glass doors enclosing the lanai.

Loggerhead Cay is a non-smoking property and complex.

The unit is lovely . Nicely decorated . Updated sofas . Kitchen well stocked with all sorts of items . Close proximity to the beach . The only real issue with the condo would be the bathrooms . They need to be updated . Shower heads were moldy in both bathrooms, they had very little water pressure and we did have some clogging issues in both showers . Im assuming it’s due to all the sand .

The weather was great and everything was working well in the condo. The owner should think about getting new furniture as it is definitely showing its age!

This is the third condo in Loggerhead Cay that we’ve stayed at in the past year and by far the nicest. Well stocked kitchen and nicely furnished. Definitely would consider staying in 583 again.

Beautiful, clean, third floor condo! Nice location to restaurants and groceries. We took advantage of local grocery delivery while there. We used public access boardwalk next to our building to walk out to the beach, coming back from beach we would use condo access with shower/foot wash station. Loved that we were able to bring our dog along on this vacation. My husband used grilling area several times while we were there, nice area however some grills were not working so sometimes a bit of a wait for one but not an issue for us. We did have trouble with cable/tv when we arrived to condo, but was resolved as quickly as possible. I would say to those renting that isn’t ground level be mindful when packing, when we arrived we were shocked to find out there were no uggage carts of some sort to help with ease of unpacking for a long vacation. Took several trips to bring everything up stairs and elevator. May not be the case in all buildings but build 5 did not have one.

The condo complex is in a quiet residential area but only a short distance from the restaurants and shops. We loved that it was right next to the beach. We overlooked the pool which was great until a group of rowdy people came out mid-afternoon for a few days.Even with the patio doors closed, the noise was disconcerting as we were trying to read on the deck. The unit was big and bright. Furniture in good condition. Very comfortable. Unfortunately, we discovered a few small roaches in the unit but the mgmt. co. stated they would check and address the issue. All in all, it was a very satisfying experience and we are planning to return next year.
