Description

Villa Sanibel is a small, 20 unit Gulf front complex located near all the Island conveniences on West Gulf Drive. This quaint community offers a heated pool, gas grills, and tennis, all surrounded by lush tropical landscape. Unit 3D is a second floor walk-up unit (sorry, no elevator) with vaulted ceilings and pool views from your private, screened-in lanai. This spacious unit can comfortably accommodate up to 6 guests with king beds in both the master and guest rooms and a 3rd floor loft with 2 twin beds for additional sleeping space . The owner has nicely decorated, furnished and updated the entire unit and equipped it with 2 flat screen TV’s, DVD player, beach equipment and secure Wi-Fi for your enjoyment. ***Please note: Villa Sanibel is a smoke-free property. 1 assigned parking spot per unit. Overflow parking near the tennis courts is limited and not guaranteed.***

We recently rented two units via Sanibel Holiday in Villa Sanibel. This unit was below average and should be better priced accordingly. Pricing it the same as cleaner and well appointed units is unfair to the renter. You can absolutely find a nicer unit than this one in the price range. The unit was dirty, furniture in living room is stained, and needs to be replaced. The linens were missing for 3 days for the sofa bed, which made the stay very inconvenient for our party. Sanibel Holiday has no issue charging the full linen fee even with not have a bed for 3 days. AllOf the units comforters and quilts were found just found shoved into closets. We understand that some units come with enough beach supplies usually for two people. Don’t bother with this unit. You need to rent everything. Chairs (one adult size chair ) umbrellas broken, everything just chucked in the outdoor storage and messy. The day we checked in the air unit had been serviced, and it took 24 hours to come down from 78 and a lot of humidity. The TV cable service is awful and most nights did not work.

Let me begin by saying that he is coming to this rental unit for the past 11 years and have always enjoyed it. This year, but fortunately things changed for the worse and other things hadn’t changed at all when they should have. We arrived to find a large crib in the master bedroom (maybe a rental for the people who stayed prior to our arrival?). The crib took up a large space in the room so we moved it to the porch as it would not fit thru the doorway. The management company was notified and we were told that it would be taken care of but nothing was done. Could not tell where the crib had come from nor did I want to take time out of my vacation to deal with it. In previous years, the unit has always come with additional towels sheets and beach towels. There were no beach towels present, no additional sheets and the extra bath towels were not plentiful. This unit is touted as accommodating six people, however, there were not towels enough to accommodate that number so without frequent laundering (but, again, i’m on vacation and I don’t really care to do laundry that often). Which brings me to my next point. The new supplier of soap, laundry detergent etc.(Sojoy) is subpar at best. The dish detergent did not leather, we were given one bar (nay, small circle) of soap per bathroom so, if you wanted to shower with the soap you would need to transfer the soap from the shower to the sink if you later wanted to wash her hands or face. No for the furniture. I am pretty sure it’s the same furniture in the living room for the past 11 years at least. It is quite tired looking at this point... Chairs look dirty. The beach chair left in the outside storage was broken. The unit itself is lovely but needs some attention.

DISGUSTING!!! Everything in the place was disgusting!! I spent the 1st two hours try to clean the best I could. The only good thing is we had enough extra blankets to cover the furniture, That way we could sit on it. I should have just paid for another unit from a different rental agency for the week. Instead my family lived is squalor.

Location was great. Nice layout and pool was perfect. Unfortunately for the whole week they were painting the buildings which left limited parking and us having to move cars on a daily basis. They were also power washing and painting with a cherry picker interrupting any pool time or time relaxing on your lanai. Unit was not the most clean. I have rented several times in the past and never had an issue. It didn’t seem that anyone vacuumed the carpet which is covered in sand. We also moved one chair which had a ton of food stuck underneath. The dryer in the unit would beep but would not shut off. Beds were uncomfortable and my wife was sleeping on an air mattress Because it was more comfortable than the bed.

We had a great stay at this beachy condo. It was located right by the pool and just steps from the beach. There was space to sleep 2 in the loft, 2 in each bedroom and 1 on the sofa bed. We also played tennis. I would definitely stay here again. Great location close to everything.

Cozy small condo, close to the beach, and a great pool. This condo is also stocked with pool and beach toys. That, plus the full kitchen, makes it kid-friendly. We have stayed here twice and it's always been a blast. This last time, we did notice that some of the appliances were showing their age. I would recommend replacing the washing machine and dryer.

This was our 2nd year staying at Villa Sanibel. This particular unit was very clean and the storage closet is full of everything you could want during your stay! Beach toys, chairs, umbrellas, coolers, even spare water shoes and goggles! Walk right out to the beach to see dolphins playing and snorkel to find sea stars, urchins, and more! Everyone at Sanibel Holiday is amazing and Villa Sanibel is a small, quiet family friendly complex .We will definitely be staying in unit 3D again for our annual trip!

We enjoyed our time at villa sanibel. The beach closet ( on the patio ) is well stocked. Anything u would need to have a great time , chairs beach toys , fishing poles ... ect... the kitchen is stoked up waiting to be used .
He overall stay was awesome . Meet some nice people , good neighbors . But u will also find a couple otherss not so friendly . But I like how one man said ( southern charm lol ) . I never could figure out how to work the dishwasher , but that is no biggie .
I advise taking bug spray along with your sunscreen.
We can’t say enough good things about this rental !!

Excellent for a family getaway. The loft was a favorite place of the grandchildren. Our grandson called it the "fancy place". I would recommend an update for new bedroom pillows, they were either too soft or too hard.

This is the second time staying at Villa Sanibel, although in a different unit. These are in a perfect location, close to everything. (The dining room chairs and one living room chair were in need of replacement, threadbare and dirty with one chair leg held together with white duct tape. The walls could use a repainting in some areas, especially the bathrooms), but overall this was a very nice unit decorated nicely with all we needed included in the kitchen.

We have stayed at Villa Sanibel a number of times over the last 10 years, this past stay I must say was the 1st time we were disappointed in the cleanliness of our condo. When we walked in we noticed there was still food on the floor (Chex mixed must have been dropped by previous tenant). When we set up the pull-out couch, the sheets had food on them and had to be washed. There was a cockroach in the master bath shower and my husband had to unclog the master bathroom sink. Once we re-cleaned and fixed the sink we had an enjoyable stay.
We did call the management company to ask for new clean sheets for one of the twin beds, but our message was never answered back.

What a delight to be in such a well designed condo set up. Great central visiting space, well equipped kitchen and beach supplies and private bedrooms and baths. Easily worked for our six adults. Early December is kind of ideal timing. Beautiful weather and not so many vacationers. Excellent shelling, birding and bicycling

This is one of our units that I refer to as "well stocked" both in the kitchen and in the private storage locker on the lanai. I am very happy we chose this unit in a small complex. The condo complex itself is well maintained, couldn’t ask for closer beach access, has a nice pool that wasn’t crowded. Our unit was modernity decorated with a very beachy theme, the beds were comfortable, and the kitchen was well stocked with dishes, pots and pans. Also this unit is great for children, there are lots of games if you happen to be indoors but more importantly the storage closet was loaded with beach items like buckets, shovels, noodles, chairs, and umbrella, and beach cart. Only thing that would have made the closet complete would be a cooler. There were also tennis racquets and balls for the tennis court which my whole family enjoyed. I’d also like to give kuddos to management. We had a small cleaning issue that they addressed immediately. They couldn’t have been more responsive. So friendly and helpful.

We had a great week long stay in vacation rental condo on Sanibel Island. Easy walk to beach; tennis court and pool next to condo. Great bike paths just across
the street to many shops, walking trails and Ding Darling Reserve.
Would have liked more soap, toilet paper, dishwasher soap, sponges, etc provided.

We had an amazing week at our condo. Four adults and two children fit just right (I'd recommend getting a bit bigger place if your children are teens or if you're trying to house six adults). The place was stocked with everything you would need for the pool and the beach. Our balcony overlooked the pool and the private beach access was just a short path. If you're looking to book this just remember a few items: it doesn't come with shampoo or conditioner and you'll need to buy additional dish soap and detergent.

We had an amazing week at our condo. Four adults and two children fit just right (I'd recommend getting a bit bigger place if your children are teens or if you're trying to house six adults). The place was stocked with everything you would need for the pool and the beach. Our balcony overlooked the pool and the private beach access was just a short path. If you're looking to book this just remember a few items: it doesn't come with shampoo or conditioner and you'll need to buy additional dish soap and detergent.

We had a wonderful week of beach, pool, and fun in the room. My daughter's, neices, and nephew are ready to head back! The apt has everything you need for the beach and the kitchen as well. I was very happy with our stay.

We had a great time in Sanibel. We did tons of biking and enjoyed the beach. The bike trails are great and they gave our children and their friends staying down the beach a few complexes the freedom to explore safely.

The Villa was very cozy. The kitchen was well stocked with pans, pots & dishes. The grill around the pool deck was nice. The patio closet was full of various beach needs. Chairs, umbrellas, beach cart, boogie boards, buckets, goggles, and the blow up boat was a huge hit for our 10 & 13 year old.

I had one small issue with the sink disposal, but the management team was out super fast and had it taken care of in no time.

The property was clean and there were plenty of towels. Our daughter loved the loft area and quickly took that area over as her cozy place.

The short walk to the beach was very easy and we would book this property again.

We rented 3D for our family, two parents and two kids. We loved being right by the pool with the beach just steps away. The condo was very comfortable and the owners left lots of pool and beach toys for us to use which was great! The grandparents rented the downstairs unit, 3B, and it was just as comfortable and well appointed. We all agreed that it was the most relaxing vacation ever! No worries, no stress, and lots of fun!
