***Please be aware that our island is still going through recovery. All public beach accesses are open, there are approximately 24 restaurants now open, as well as a few shops including Jerry’s Grocery. The Causeway is currently under repair with 20 m.p.h. speed limit. Expect traffic delays coming on and off the island. Neighboring homes and condos are making repairs so expect noise, trucks & equipment at your property and throughout the island. Construction noise from interior work in adjoining or nearby units. Some amenities in your complex may be closed. Currently, The pool is not open and the elevators are not functioning.***

Bandy Beach is a quaint 10 unit complex located on the quiet East End of Sanibel with views of the Gulf of Mexico and tropical foliage. Bandy Beach A101 is a spacious 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom stilted gulf-front condo that can comfortably accommodate up to 6 guests. There is a semi-private elevator for your use. The owner has recently redecorated the condo with all new furniture, mattresses and bed coverings. The unit offers 3 flat screen TV's as well as a DVD player and Wi-Fi. Beach towels and beach equipment are provided for your convenience. Complex amenities include: a heated pool, covered parking and gas grills. Bandy Beach is a non-smoking property. This is our second year staying at this condo and we love it! We already have it booked for next year! Plenty of room, has most all kitchen things you would need (does need better knives) but overall it’s a great place!

We live the location of the rental. It is very close to the lighthouse and pier and close to ride bikes to stores. The condo does need some updating. The furniture and flooring has been updated, but the kitchen and bathrooms need to be updates. The pocket doors to the one bedroom have been broken the past few years and don’t close completely. The kitchen felt dirty. The cabinets looked dirty inside and the layout is not very good. There was food on the baseboards. The wire shelving in the closets were rusty. There were ants in the twin bedroom. The price for next year has gone up $1000 per week. For that price it should be more updated.

Would rent this another year except for the owner of the property who increased the follow on base rental 2023 by 38%. This increase drives up the cost to insure the trip as well as Florida occupancy taxes. The magnitude of this increase is usurious and unjustifiable as there were no property improvements for 2021-2022 season.

Bandy Beach Association is a very small, very quiet beachfront condo association. This unit (though given the number A101) occupies all of the second floor of this building, so it is filled with light from all sides. It also feels very private--with no other unit right next to you. The lanai is very large, with a dining table that will seat 8. The unit is well decorated--avoiding the overly cute beachy look. Like many condo rentals on Sanibel, you'll need to provide your own spices, coffee filters, etc., though there were several keurig coffee singles available in the keurig machine. (There's also a regular coffee pot.) Though the kitchen layout is somewhat awkward, the unit is spacious and good for a multi-generational family vacation. We will be returning.

Bandy beach A101 was very clean and accommodating. I had read past reviews about the comfort of the beds but it appears they added padding to the tops of the beds so they were comfortable enough for us. Very easy access to the beach however I was a bit disappointed with the view of the beach.

Great getaway week with girlfriends on the island. Super happy with our location and accommodations. Being just steps away from the beach and not far from the lighthouse allowed for daily walks on the beach and many fun finds by and in the water. Going in September we experienced a few places closed for renovations and cleanup before the rush of high season but with mostly locals on the island we didn’t have long waits anywhere and little traffic. Weather was warm but with beach and pool it made for a great hang week with friends. Our unit had everything we needed to cook in, relax inside or sit outside snd enjoy the view and summer air. We basically had the pool and complex to ourselves, based on time of year. Fortunately, we experienced none of the negatives that we could have going in September. Great week.

A101 was a great unit. Nice patio furniture especially the rocking chairs. Plenty of furnishings in the unit to eat/cook at home daily and plenty of seating for family/guests in the dining & living rooms as well. Unit stays cold, has a great view and easy access to the beach/pool, can’t really ask for more! Grounds are well kept, pool is deep (not many places go past 6’). Would certainly recommend to anyone who’s looking. Sanibel Holiday has probably been the best agent we’ve worked with so far, very friendly & accomodating.

We stayed at Bandy Beach in 2019, and we’re going to be back in 2020, but then Covid hit. We live the privacy, the pool, the beach, and the 3 bedrooms, 2 baths. Beds are comfortable and kitchen is well stocked with what we needed to cook. Would love to see some new living room furniture when we come back (for 2 weeks), in 2022. Unit is clean and live the screened in lanai.

The location couldn’t be better with the pool and beach practically at your doorstep. The furniture was comfortable and the condo was clean. We enjoyed relaxing on the beach and poolside and eating dinners on the large screened in porch. We would definitely come back to this property again!

We had a lovely time in the Bandy Beach condo. It’s very large so lots of room to spread out. We spent a lot of time on the huge screened in lanai with the gorgeous view. The pool was refreshing. The beach was amazing. We love the east end location because the lighthouse and the pier are both walkable as well as our favorite Lighthouse cafe.

We had a wonderful time in Sanibel as always. It was our first stay at Bandy Beach, and the condo seemed a little “tired.” The kitchen was okay except for knives that would barely cut butter and an ice maker that was very slow to make ice. First impressions are important, and when my husband and I entered our bedroom (twin beds), we found the closet piled high with extra bedspreads, pillows, and a high chair. We had to clean out the closet before we could even get into it. Also, there were no bedspreads on the beds, giving it an army barracks-like appearance. Perhaps after the cleaning crew has left, a quality control person could come in to see if the condo is truly ready for guests.

We are so glad to hear your time on Sanibel was wonderful! We appreciate knowing the knives were dull and needing replacement and we have since purchased new ones for the unit. For future stays, please feel free to reach out to us while you are here with any issues. We will gladly replace items that are missing, lacking or not working well. This way you will not have to live with items that are not functioning truly want your vacation to be as perfect as possible. In light of Covid we have removed all comforters, shammed pillows and throw pillows from the beds as we are unable to launder these items between each guest. They are placed in the closet of each room so that they are available to guests that would like use of them. Because of this situation our guests are checking in to all white/cream beds. Our sheets, blankets and towels laundered off site to hospital standards, individually wrapped and unpacked in the unit. While we know this does not make the best first impression, during these unprecedented times our primary goal is to keep our guests safe.

Great location. We loved how quiet the complex is and the size of the unit made it very comfortable for our family. All the meals we ate at the unit were enjoyed on the large screened in porch!
There were a number of light bulbs burnt out through out the unit-It seems the cleaning company would alert management after the last people checked out. The one in the master shower was replaced after we informed them of the issue.
The only other drawback is the location of the pool. We visited in Dec and by 3 pm the pool was shaded by the building next door.

Nice, clean unit - great value with two king-sized beds. Only 10 units in this comfortable property. Fantastic location close to the lighthouse. Sanibel can be very busy with insane traffic. This is a quieter end of the island that's a little easier to navigate on those busy days.

Really enjoyed the stay at Bandy Beach. The condo was great with plenty of room for our family. Was able to eat in with no problem and able to find private space for everyone. Made constant use of the lanai. Had four adults and two small children. Rented bikes to have at the condo and made several trips to ice cream, other beaches and even the Farmer’s Market. The condo location was close enough to walk to lighthouse on the beach. Pool was never crowded or loud. Best surprise was the utility closet below stocked with beach gear and pool toys for the kids. Only downside was the master bedroom mattress which is overdue to be replaced. But overall a lovely place to vacation.

This unit is a hidden gem. The small complex was wonderful and allowed for lots of quiet pool and beach time. The unit is spacious and adequately furnished, offering the perfect respite after a beautiful day outdoors.

During the last week of Oct. and the first week of Nov., 5 girlfriends and I vacationed in this wonderful condo. We have come to other ares of FL and spent other trips on Sanibel. This condo was our very favorite ever. The unit had everything needed, high-end furnishings and super clean. The pool, grounds and location were exceptional. Our two weeks had perfect weather and no evidence ofRed Tide. I swam in the Gulf, walked the beach and, of course, did the Sanibel Stoop. We hope to return to Bandy Beach and this unit.

The rental unit was fine but the beach was closed. We should have been notified about the terrible condition of the beach, the smell and dead fish which has been going on since November.We would have made other plans if we known. A beach trip without the beach is.... no good.

We have visited Sanibel every summer for 30+ years and Bandy Beach specifically for that past eight. We liked this unit for the most part. Pans for cooking are lacking but otherwise nice and very comfortable. The only problem was the water quality and issues caused by red tide. This is the first year we experienced this at this location. It's very sad but if it continues, I probably will need to look at other locations for a family vacation. We love visiting Sanibel during the summer but it's a safety issue. We will be working hard to vote for those politicians who will work to correct this and to make our schools safe by putting in place reasonable and effective gun control. Hope you do the same!

We decided to try a new condo rental, after spending our last 10 Sanibel vacations at another top rated property in the same area. Upon arrival, everything was smoothly communicated with no issues. Our vacation couldnt have been better, if we tried! Not a single thing was missing, and we booked again for next year before leaving!

I was traveling with my mother in frail health and had asked if at all possible for the condo to be ready early. I was told that while there could be no guarantee an effort would be made to adjust cleaning schedules. That 100% did not happen. My mother waited in the heat while the cleaning crew arrived just before 3:00 to begin the cleaning process.
