Description

***Please be aware that our island is still going through recovery. All public beach accesses are open, there are approximately 24 restaurants now open, as well as a few shops including Jerry’s Grocery. The Causeway is currently under repair with 20 m.p.h. speed limit. Expect traffic delays coming on and off the island. Neighboring homes and condos are making repairs so expect noise, trucks & equipment at your property and throughout the island. Unit A101, directly below A201, is beginning full renovation work on Jan 23. At times this work will be very noisy and parking space will be limited. The pool is open, however the elevator is not yet working..***

Bandy Beach is a quaint 10 unit complex located on the quiet East End of Sanibel with views of the Gulf of Mexico and tropical foliage. Bandy Beach A201 is a spacious, top floor, gulf-front unit with vaulted ceilings and semi-private elevator for your use. With 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, this unit comfortably accommodates up to 6 guests. Enjoy relaxing on your large screened-in lanai that overlooks the Gulf. The owner has recently renovated the kitchen and bathrooms and has equipped the condo with 3 flat screen televisions as well as a DVD player, CD player and Wi-Fi. Also provided are beach towels and beach equipment for your convenience. Complex amenities include: a heated pool, covered parking and gas grills. Bandy Beach is a smoke-free complex.

This property is large, was clean, and had comfortable beds. The tvs were great except the cable was unreliable. The complex was under construction, so noisy, but we knew that going in. The furniture is very old, dated and not comfortable with the exception of a recliner. The decor was very drab and unappealing. I think for the money the owners could put in a little more effort and make the interior more attractive. I would not rent this unit again.

Stayed a week in Feb. Love the 2 master bedroom setup which worked great for a family of 4 and family of 2. Pool is quiet. Gas grill appreciated. Association is quiet. Lovely skylights.
Excellent view and location. A bit pricey. Only concern of my daughter's was that there was mold on the ceiling drywall near the air vent in the twin bedroom. I presume it may have been from A/C condensation over time. We did not report it, but management may want to address it.

...the cost was not commensurate with the value. I have stayed in this unit before and it is starting to feel "shabby." I expected more. The amenities, dish towels, soaps, etc. were frugal and of marginal quality and there were no hot pads. Two of the gas burners on the gas grill were not working. The beach chairs were definitely past their prime. The toilet in the second bathroom has a slow leak. The periodic water and electrical outages were inconvenient. This review is for YOUR EYES ONLY, NOT TO BE PUBLISHED ONLINE OR OTHERWISE. I have loved staying at Bandy Beach in the past and I hope to stay there once again someday, but it requires some improvements for the cost. I expected more. I would not recommend this property to anyone AT THIS COST.

Rented this place for our family to enjoy after a long 18months with COVID not traveling. The location, space of the condo and view are amazing! But extremely disappointed by the amenities. The kitchen was stocked with mixed matched dishes that many had stains or chips in them. Small appliances like the can opener was all rusted.
Most of the furniture was past it’s life span like the mattresses, couches and outdoor patio furniture. The furniture felt like it should be in a cabin not a high end condo on the beach.
The heated pool NEVER worked the whole week. Call the management company a few time throughout the week to get it fixed since We were traveling with our 3 kids. The pool never was fixed, and was colder than the ocean in November.
When we checked into the location the management company said the AC wasn’t really working and would be fixed in a day or two. The AC was never fixed, and thankfully it wasn’t to warm but only
2 days to really need the AC.
Overall, this condo wasn’t worth the amount they were charging. We would go down the road to a different location for the same rate with a better view on the ocean.

Great location and ocean views. Easy walk to the beach. Nice restaurants near by. Safe, secure and quit. Would stay again. A little disappointed with beach chairs as they were very worn and rusty. Sanibel Holiday were outstanding property managers.

This is our 3rd stay at Bandy Beach, twice in the lower unit and now in the upper unit. The view is definitely better from the upper unit. Love the location: easy walk to the Lighthouse area; it is away from the busyness of downtown; quiet; and is easy to take the back way and miss the traffic on Periwinkle Way. This unit's furniture may be a bit dated, none of the couch recliners were operational. We were surprised to find a partially filled beer can on the knick knack shelves along with food on the floor around the couch. Those few detractors didn't take away from enjoying the property. Was sad to leave, the winds died down by Wednesday giving us great days on Thursday and Friday. Would we come back again, you betcha :)

Great quiet condo. Clean and well kept. Everything you need in the kitchen. Comfortable beds. Spacious lanai with decent view of the gulf. Pool was heated and we had it to ourselves! Walkway from condo to the beach was easy and short. Condo supplied beach chairs and umbrella. Could invest in newer chairs that are lower seating beach chairs. But great they were available. Convenient area to restaurants. We did bike everywhere vs driving and it worked out great for us. Cooked and grilled most nights at condo. Would stay again.

We have always stayed on the East end of the island and love it there because it's so quiet. We have stayed at this particular property the past 4 years and always find it a great place to stay.

We also love the East end for its location on the quieter end of the island. Plus you can easily walk to the best breakfast place on the Lighthouse Cafe! Bandy Beach has all the bells and spaciou/ apartment-like feel, 3 bedroom units, Gulf views from most rooms in the condo, large lanais perfect for having dinner or playing board games as a family, access to well-stocked ground level storage lockers, a semi-private elevator shared between units 101 & 201 and a very small property with just 10 units. We are thrilled you loved your stay at A201 and hope your 2021 travel bring you back there!

Our Sanibel Island vacation was one worth repeating so we hope to return someday. It was filled with both relaxation and sun, sand and water play! The check-in process couldn’t have been any easier with the directions given and condition of the unit on arrival was fresh and clean. Our unit was everything we were hoping for - it had easy access from the parking directly underneath the building via the semi-private elevator which serves the only 2 units in the building. That was a big plus as my elderly mother was traveling with us on this vacation. The premises were quiet and we didn’t even come close to any other guests coming and going which is very important now a days during the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic. As for the unit itself - it is spacious, has the appearance of a recent update with newer bathrooms with the master bath having a separated double-sink wash area and bathing/toilet room with both a tub and shower. The kitchen had everything we needed for meals which in our case was only breakfast since we were out until late evenings. The beach view beyond the pool was nice from the unit’s screened-in wide balcony and the beds were comfortable. Some of the decor and furniture was a bit dated but in decent condition except for the double-reclining couch which was broken on one end and inoperable. Other than that, the accommodations were great. The unit is very bright with a sky light in the living room ceiling and wall to wall sliders leading out to the patio. Also, having a laundry room right in the unit is a big plus! The owner provided complimentary Keurig coffee pods to get us started for a couple of days which was nice.

The beach access is an easy walk along the private boardwalk and the surf was calmer on that side of the island being it’s southern exposure compared to the beaches further north with western exposures and we liked it even better than Captiva. Bandy Beach is the perfect location when you want a spacious, apartment-like feel in a unit that is well updated and accommodates 6 guests without having someone sleeping in the living room. Semi-private , well-stocked, ground level storage room FULL of beach , quiet location on the east end of the island with access to the best breakfast on the island (Lighthouse ! We stayed in a Bandy Beach many years ago. We loved it then and loved it last week! The condo has an updated kitchen and bathrooms, laundry room and huge lanai. I was glad we were on the 2nd floor because the trees had grown to partially obstruct the beach view, though. It was very quiet, especially with only 2 condos per building. We ate out for lunches and fixed meals in the evening. We were able to find all the cooking equipment we needed right there in the kitchen. (If you cook a lot, bring/buy extra dishwasher soap.) There were even beach chairs and pool toys in the private storage room by our covered parking spot.

So many reasons to love Bandy Beach and you hit on every one of them! We love the quiet East End location, most especially that it's within easy walking distance to Pinocchio's Ice Cream, Lighthouse Cafe (arguably the best breakfast on the island) and the East End Deli! We also love the apartment like feel of this harder-to-find 3 bedroom Gulf -front unit. Not only does everyone have their own sleeping space but the living and lanai space isn't crowded once everyone is all together. Ground-level, well-equipped beach equipment storage is always most appreciated by our wants getting set up for your day at the beach to be a lot of work! We hope you have plans to return to Bandy Beach in your near future!

This end of island is quiet and surrounded by nature. The set backs on Sanibel really provide green space and privacy. Updates to this unit are wonderful. Screened porch allows outdoor evenings and rainy days. Elevator makes it nice for groceries and older guests.

This is our second time to Sanibel. Bandy Beach was incredible! VERY clean, best view ever, and the Concierge Service that is offered is unmatchable. The condo was one of the best we have ever stayed at. If you want a truly unique vacation. This is the place to go and the place to stay.

This is our second time to Sanibel. Bandy Beach was incredible! VERY clean, best view ever, and the Concierge Service that is offered is unmatchable. The condo was one of the best we have ever stayed at. If you want a truly unique vacation. This is the place to go and the place to stay.

3 bedroom, 2 bathroom 2nd floor spacious condo. Directly above community swimming pool. 175 paces to the beach. Walking distance to Pinocchio's ice cream parlor. 10 minute beach walk to Sanibel light house . A good vacation rental for families with children.

Nice, clean and great location. It was steps to the beach and a short walk to Breakfast/Lunch and Ice Cream, if you don't want to cook. Would definitely stay again.
