Think Black Friday — but island style!

The Sanibel Island Sunrise Sale returns Labor Day weekend with 45 locally owned Sanibel businesses participating in an island-wide day of shopping, specials and fun.

Beginning at sunrise at 7:09 a.m., boutiques, outfitters, galleries, specialty shops, restaurants and other Sanibel businesses will offer specials including tiered early-bird savings, discounts up to 50%, BOGOs, free gifts with purchase, flash giveaways, complimentary mimosas and even free breakfast at one participating restaurant.

Deals continue throughout the day, but shoppers are encouraged to start early, as some of the biggest savings and limited specials will be available during the morning.

Visitors can pick up an official Sunrise Sale Map & Passport from participating businesses, collect stamps when shopping and turn in a completed 10-stamp passport for a chance to win one of three Grand Prize packages featuring island stays at the Anchor Inn & Cottages, Shalimar Beach Resort, and Tarpon Tale Inn!

And come as you are — there is even a Pajama Contest for early-morning shoppers!
